• P&J Chandlery - Boat Lagoon on the marina office side of the lagoon.  Prices tend to be on the high side
• Approximately 1km. south of Boat Lagoon on Thepkasattri Rd. (just past the Caltex) is a small chandlery with a good selection of items.
• G.C. Huat - 59/16-17 Bangkok Rd., Phuket 83000  PH 076 211097-8, 076 256175-6 Fax 076 211097  Email: gchuat@phket.loxinfo.co.th   This is a reasonably well stocked chandlery.  The staff speak good English and if they do not have something, they will usually order it for you.

Hardware Stores - 

• Bangkok Hardware - This is located on the road by Lotus Tesco.  If heading south on Rt. 402, turn left by Lotus Tesco and go about 1.5km. to an intersection where a road comes in from the left.  Look for the big "Bosch" sign.
• Home Pro - This is located inside Lotus Tesco/Phuket Shopping Mall and is similar in concept to places like Home Depot in the US and Bunnings in Australia - large, well-lit aisles with everything on display.

Carpentry and Wood working -

Chalang  PH:  076 282216-7, Fax 076 282217.  This is a lumber yard that has teak plywood and timber s well as construction grade lumber.  Located on Chaofa Rd. on the right before you reach the Chalong Circle, if heading south from Phuket Town.

Electrical Shops - Octopus Electronics - Boat Lagoon.  Located in the strip of shops on the far side of the marina from the hardstand - near The Bakery.

Metal Fabrication, Welding, Stainless Steel Work - Nop's Sales and Service located at Boat Lagoon in the workshops near Precision Shipwright Services.  PH:  076 383007  Mobile 01 7197725

Re-chroming and Polishing Services - This shop is on north-bound side of Thepkasattri Rd. on the way into Phuket Town from Boat Lagoon.  Travel south approx. 10 km. until the center road divider ends, then look on the right for chrome pieces hanging in front of the shop.  The shop is located opposite the "House of Sanitary Tiles" store.  Look for the big "American Standard" sign.  They do re-chroming, polishing of stainless steel, brass and aluminum and charge by the piece.

General Laborers -

• Teo - a middle-aged Thai man who can be a bit abrasive.  He speaks fairly good English and does good work.  Can be a bit undependable at times.  He polished all of our bronze ports and did a good job, but you must keep an eye on him.   It is recommended that you pay only for services completed.
• Cowboy - very personable, reliable and trust-worthy younger Thai man who usually dresses in boots and has a bandana tied around his head.  Reports of his work have been good and he speaks good English, is very friendly and will help you find things.
